Infiniti Entry-Level Concept Geneva 2011
Infiniti has dragged Rolf out of the cupboard again, shoved a paintbrush in his hand and told him to illustrate their new, entry-level concept heading to Geneva. Which is Rolf’s first Infiniti gig since the Infiniti Performance Line G Coupe got teased last year ahead of Pebble. What we have this time is what Infiniti describes as a “…concept for a luxury performance car that will fit below the current G Line.” Which means it’s small.
Amko Leenarts has been appointed Director of Global Interiors Design Strategy at Ford Motor Company, effective from 1 June 2012. Leenarts will be tasked with developing the future interior design strategy for both the Ford and Lincoln brands worldwide, working alongside the company's global leadership team and reporting directly to J Mays, Group Vice President of Global Design and Chief Creative Officer at Ford Motor Company. A team of scientists working at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are claiming a significant breakthrough in recharging times for lithium-ion batteries. According to findings published in the scientific journal Nature, MIT researchers Byoungwoo Kang and Gerbrand Ceder have unlocked the potential of lithium-ion batteries by patenting a unique process which is claimed to allow a typical laptop power pack to be fully recharged in less than a minute--an improvement in recharging performance of roughly 90 percent over existing lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion batteries generate electric current via the flow of lithium ions across an electrolyte, from an electrode to a cathode.
